Retail Sales Analysis: Retail Wine Sales Down 9 Percent in September
Sales Value Down 9 Percent in September Off-premise table wine sales fell 9 percent versus a year ago in the four weeks ending Sept. 11, NielsenIQ scan data showed, totaling more than $1.1 billion. Sales for the latest 52 weeks totaled $16.6 billion, down more than 1 percent from the previous year. While monthly growth continued to be negative, sales are showing signs of stabilizing after last year’s dramatic shifts, heralding a new, post-pandemic normal.
