Wineries explore new opportunities with mobile canning

In June, I discussed the benefits of aluminum cans, their history and how they are made, and in July, I wrote about canning line operations, quality control and certification. This month, I am introducing a terrific mobile canning company called The Can Van, LLD. Based out of Sacramento and San Francisco, they afford Northern California wineries the opportunity to experiment with cans, allowing winemakers to expand their wine programs and increase sales. The major plus with today’s mobile canners is that they offer wineries smaller minimum runs than mobile bottlers and canning facilities to test this new marketing phenomena.
