Heald Supreme Court decision in 2005, which found that states cannot have discriminatory direct shipping regulations for in-state and out-of-state wineries, wineries have enjoyed an expansion of the number of states where they can legally ship wine directly to consumers. Retailers, however, have not shared in that expansion.
