The Argentine industry is in the process of being reborn. Considerable change will be seen as the higher profile companies with established export networks become stronger, companies reliant on domestic or Mercosur countries struggle with a depressed market, and outside investors take advantage of the economic downturn to implement a number of takeovers and acquisitions. As the economy here begins to stabilize, Argentine companies are beginning to learn how to operate under the new conditions. Exports will most likely rise considerably over the next few years.
