Stefan Daniels is leaving Duarte Nursury to concentrate on Stefan Daniels Wines and his partnership with Piccetti Family Vineyards in Dry Creek Valley, where he makes wine for the Pena Ridge label. Cameron Black, Daniels' successor, is Duarte's new viticultural consultant, based out of Davis. Black, a Davis graduate, was enologist for Sonoma Creek Winery and worked for Al Buckland Vineyard Management. Terry Nolan, former associate winemaker at Benziger, has been promoted to head winemaker at the Glen Ellen Winery, responsible for the Sonoma County, Reserve, and Vineyard Designate lines of wines. Joe Benziger moves to head Benziger's Imagery Winery, while Mike Benziger will focus on special wine projects not yet made public.Bryan Parker join...
