Field Marketing Manager for Duty Free Market in South Florida


JOB TITLE: Field Marketing Manager

We are seeking an experienced, goal-oriented and self-directed salesperson with the ability to deliver dynamic presentations and provide exceptional customer service. The selected candidate will be responsible for sales, education, training, and growing our brand partners. Applicants must have an ability to forge and maintain strong relationships, consistently present a positive attitude, and be results oriented. The position requires strong problem-solving and persuasion skills, creativity, flexibility, and organization, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities. Individual will report directly to the Vice President.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promote, sell and build relationships with Duty Free accounts.
• Manage the portfolio of wine, beer and spirits brokered by our company
• Act as an advocate for the company’s supplier partners to help propel our company’s leadership and portfolio reputation with customers.
• Develop relationships with key accounts and promote awareness of portfolio brands.
• Must be passionate about forming and growing relationships.
• Manage accounts, ordering details and inventory needs.
• Conduct specialty tastings, educational training, events, sponsorships, and promotional activities.
• Utilize product and business knowledge to educate Duty Free staff to increase wine and spirits knowledge and sales.
• Keep up on market and competitive trends
• Complete accurate and timely reports.
• Proactively communicate information with customers, ship chandlers and colleagues.
• Track account visits, education and training activities
• Manage sample inventory and POS materials
• Stay within budgetary parameters for entertaining and travel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change easily
• Actively participate in in trainings and meetings to support self-development and professional growth

MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university preferred but not necessary if candidate has one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Significant sales experience (a minimum of 2 years) with a strong ability to sell concepts and new ideas.
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus while organizing and managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. The selected candidate must have strong presentation skills and be articulate and personable in front of large and small audiences.
• Sales analyst skills
• Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge of pivot tables, sales tracking matrix and Nielsen data.
• Ability and desire to travel frequently by car, plane, ship and to visit multiple locations. Willingness to travel extensively (minimum of 40% his/her working time) for meetings, market visits and presentations, including up to 5 hours driving time.
• This position requires up to 150 days of out of state travel
• Knowledge and interest in the alcohol industry; knowledge of food and wine pairing, cocktail trends and craft beer.
• Hold a minimum of WSET 1, Court of Master Sommeliers – level 1 or CSW with the Society of Wine Educators or equivalent
• Must possess a current driver's license; maintain current auto insurance This position requires the availability to work flexible hours and weekends, when necessary, for special events
• Have a valid passport for travel
• Must reside in South Florida
• Must be able to pass pre-hire drug screen, and criminal background check.
• Successful candidate must: be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to repetitively lift a minimum of 45lbs; be able to bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and lift repetitively

PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Hold a minimum of WSET 2, Court of Master Sommeliers – level 2 (certified sommelier) or CSW with the Society of Wine Educators
• Sales experience in beverage alcohol industry

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• This position offers competitive salary compensation - $55,000 to $80,00 with potential bonus opportunities based on experience and performance
