The Tasting Room Manager will be primarily responsible for the daily tasting room operations. The Manager will also ensure an unforgettable experience for our guests and promote our wines and wine clubs. Interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds and experiences, the Tasting Room Manager will strive to create a unique and personal experience with each guest while leading a small and dedicated staff. The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily operations of the tasting room and overall DTC sales; including tasting setup and breakdown,
• Curate events in the Tasting Room and Winery.
• Support and lead the Tasting Room staff in selling wine, acquiring club memberships, meeting signup expectations, exceeding sales goals, and collecting data.
• Manage the schedule for Tasting Room
• Educate the guests about our Winery’s unique history and shares our passion for Agriculture, Viticulture, and Winemaking.
• Guide training for sales skills development of Tasting Room Staff.
• Manage Inventory and conduct monthly meetings.
• Collaborate with Winery and DTC Manager on special events to achieve sales goals, wine club sign-ups, and data collection goals.
• Foster an environment that results in a solid sales and service-focused team.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Working in a retail environment
• Be able to lift 50 lbs
• Be able to carry wine downstairs
• Be able to unload and load pallets.
• Full-time, approximately 10 AM to 7 PM
• Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ Years of winery/tasting room experience and 1 Year of Tasting Room Management.
• (preferred) 1+ years of experience with Commerce7/WineDirect, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Tock.
• Effective and strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven record of achieving sales goals.

• Ability to communicate in a clear, understandable speaking voice and capable of communicating information to fellow employees, vendors, and guests
• Must be over 21 years of age
