Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This position supervises and coordinates activities or workers engaged in facilities and grounds maintenance work including offices, winery equipment and buildings and their security. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, providing direction to staff on specific projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

General: (85%)
• Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Project management.
• Regulatory compliance with matters like water use, safety and materials handling.
• Studying project schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Interpreting company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.

• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of project.
• Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintaining production records and safety training binder.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Various purchasing of supplies.
• Performs activities of workers supervised.

Administrative (10%)
• Write and deliver Annual Employee Reviews.
• Process purchase orders and invoices and gives to General Manager for approval.
• Work with Manager to assign Work Orders to employees each day.
• Manages in entering payroll in company system.
• Fixx system data input along with metering data.

Project Management (5%)
• Work with Manager on coordination of major projects as needed.
• Provide direction and guidance to staff for projects you are overseeing.
• Develop timelines and cost estimates for projects as requested.

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalents from two-year college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Winery HVAC systems, bottling and cellar equipment and waste water management.

Skills:
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to promote safety and ability to abide and enforce safety standards.
• Ability to manage and prioritize projects under tight time constraints.
• Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.
• Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with clients, management, peers, and subordinates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other staff members, vendors, customers, government agencies/personnel.
