Wine Educator
Vine Cliff Winery

Job Description:
A premiere Oakville winery is looking for a Full-Time Wine Educator to join our team.
The ideal candidate should be friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable about wines and the Napa Valley. They must be able to speak confidently in front of groups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing guests with an outstanding and unique tasting room experience
• Provide exceptional guest service to new and existing wine club members
• Sell wines and sign up new wine club members
• Conduct opening and closing duties
• Daily stocking of the tasting room wine and supplies
• Maintain the cleanliness of tasting room and outdoor seating areas
• Participate in special events at the Vine Cliff winery
• Work on additional projects and perform other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
• Three to five years of experience with an emphasis on sales, in winery tasting rooms, restaurants, or retail operations.

• Preferred knowledge of AMS, Microsoft Office, and google calendar.
• Ability to provide a memorable experience that leads to sales and wine club sign-ups.
• An understanding of the hospitality business.
• Knowledge and passion for wines, wine regions of the world, and wine production.
• Be able to taste and describe components of wine and recommend wine and food pairings.
• Knowledge of wine varietals.
• Understanding of Napa Valley as well as other AVAs on the North Coast.
• Solid knowledge of Napa Valley as a Wine Country tourism destination (wineries, hotels, restaurants, tour companies, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Must be able to communicate in english (bi-lingual a plus)
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, climb, kneel, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
