Well-established wine company seeks a Sales Representative to successfully manage, grow, and develop sales within New York and New Jersey. Trade responsibility includes independent retail, chain, and other licensed on/off premise accounts.

General responsibilities include:

• Manage and develop territory in concert with distributor partner
• Develop expertise in portfolio
• Perform market work solely and in conjunction with distributor salespeople and winery suppliers
• Train and motivate distributor salespeople
• Participate in wine education, trade and consumer tasting events
• Meet agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in timely manner
• Travel by auto and occasional air
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications and required skills should include:

• Prior sales experience working in wholesale distribution though extensive retail and/or restaurant experience considered
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Strong level of interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to speak to large audiences
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Writing, organization, and project management skills
• Full COVID vaccination including booster(s)
• Ability to lift 45 lbs.
• Driver’s license (current), auto insurance and reliable transportation
