Job Description:
Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards are looking for a Full-Time Wine Educator to join our team.
The ideal candidate should be friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable about wines and the Napa Valley. They must be able to speak confidently in front of groups.
Full-Time Position
Hourly, Non-Exempt
FT Wine Educator
Location: Davies Vineyards Visitor Center in St. Helena,CA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing guests with an outstanding and unique tasting room experience
• Telling our story of Schramsberg and the Davies Family
• Provide exceptional guest service to new and existing wine club members
• Sell wines and sign up new wine club members
• Conduct opening and closing duties
• Daily stocking of the tasting room wine and supplies
• Maintain the cleanliness of our Davies Visitor Center
• Participate in special events at the Schramsberg winery
• Work on additional projects and perform other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
• Three to five years of experience with an emphasis on sales, in winery tasting rooms, restaurants, or retail operations.

• Knowledge of AMS, Microsoft Office, and experience with inventory a plus.
• Ability to provide a memorable experience that leads to sales and wine club sign-ups.
• An understanding of the hospitality business.
• Knowledge and passion for wines, wine regions of the world, and wine production.
• Be able to taste and describe components of wine and recommend wine and food pairings.
• Knowledge of wine varietals particularly Bordeaux, Burgundy & Champagne varietals.
• Understanding of Napa Valley as well as other AVAs on the North Coast.
• Solid knowledge of Napa Valley as a Wine Country tourism destination (wineries, hotels, restaurants, tour companies, etc.)
• Must have a valid California driver’s license and be insurable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Must be able to talk, hear, touch, taste, smell and read
• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, climb, kneel, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
